Hi

Big brakes for a e-series mmmmmmmm

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=109396

I have done something similar to this setup , but utilized the original e-series hubs which i have machine the rotors off. Machined the stub-axles and modified them also.

These twin piston calipers are cheap to buy form one of my suppliers .

still toying around with late model twin piston calipers like the ones on the AU series 3 and B-series falcons and the same calipers are on Holden VT commodores onwards.

HUB FACE OFFSET will be a question ??????

slowly slogging away on this project , arm hows ur blood pressure ???

cheers

Hi

Thought i would work on the EA 351 TT

OK , quiet at work today , waiting for parts so i thought i might as well make up some T3 turbo flanges for the exhaust inlet side

12mm mild steel plate , i cut up 4 pieces and squared them up in the milling machine.

Drop saws with a abrasive wheel doesn't cut straight as the wheel flexes a lot.

Then i drilled and slotted the holes in the mill.

Also order two stainless steel multi-pattern T3 and T4 flange exhaust flanges today.

cheers

OK , turbos are sitting in the engine bay beside the 351 cleveland will post a few more pictures tomorrow.

Engine is fully mounted in the bay with the C10 gearbox. Next few weeks will have to finish of the 9 inch differential also

The flanges actually come out very good , i once at a swap meet bought a box of 1/2 inch stainless steel bolts which will come in hand now to make studs for the exhaust manifold.

The plenum i have made a start on also but after lurking around in some ford forums i found a few nifty ideas for the inlet manifold design. Will also make the fuel injector bosses and fuel rails.

Will try and make the adapter some time this week.

I'm making two sets of turbo manifolds and chassis sub frame and rear gearbox mount if anyone is interested in doing a similar project just drop me a PM and can sell the setup to you.

It has taken me a while to get it to fit nicely in the engine bay , where this will just bolt straight into a EA , EB and ED chassis rail with no fuss.
cheers

Hi

Just received my exhaust exit flanges for my turbos HX35w's, actually received five flanges ordered from the States in early December 2007.

They just arrived today via US mail via Australia Post

The five flanges cost me at a quarter of the price delivered to my door step , where here in Melbourne Victoria laser/water jet plate cutters wanted a small fortune to make some up for me.

Why five flanges ? , two V8 turbo conversions and one inline 6 cylinder setup.

With all the heat wave we have been having in Melbourne for the past few weeks and more heat on the way .

I have a few things i have to machine up. On the flange plates since I'm running a internal waste gate system i have to machine holes in the plates that just arrived for adequate waste-gate boost control of the turbos.

Will also have to increase the waste gate hole size by 2 mm , explore this later on once the engine is on the dyno if i have boost control issues.

I'm pretty sure i will have issues in this section of over boosting but tackle this issue when it arises

will also finish the 3 inch tapered to 3.5 inch dump pipes and and a huge twin 3.5 complete exhaust system , want to give this thing a go on the street also .

Back to work on the car once again.

Also fabricating a huge ice box heat exchange unit with internal water spray nozzles . Basically it is two 600*300*100mm intercoolers run in parallel inside a enclosed box that you fill up with ice .

Will post a few pictures once i have stared to weld the unit up.

Also bending up a 8 point roll cage which will be fully welded into the body structure.

2008 will be one busy year for me.

Still chase EA sedan/wagons wrecks for parts ( donation cars )

cheers
