sounds like a plan :D

Yeah, that's the idea. In my mighty boy, when i recently rebuilt the engine, i painted the block & rocker cover in the darker shade of ford engine blue, left the head, oil pump, dizzy extension housing & intake all in natural alloy. I gave them a clean up, but didn't get the chance to polish them. It still looks pretty good without being over the top, but it would have looked better polished. Sump & timing belt cover are gloss black instead of matt as per factory. Same for engine brackets, just gloss black instead of matt. It all shows up nice in the white engine bay, without looking all try hard. I do admit there is more to come for that engine bay. Like hiding the wiring & repainting the bay.

I'll polish up my new dizzy extension housing, new modified dizzy & the new EFI intake when i fit them. Car is carby fed from factory. At the end of the day, the engine bay in my mighty boy looks a lot neater than in my EB, but the mighty boy doesn't see many road miles.

Cheers

LOL. The 6cyl bay isn't that great either. Lots of wires & hoses running everywhere. I've gotta tidy up the loom i made for the thermo conversion still, and i should also tidy up the fuse conversion as well.

At least the V8 has an engine cover to cover up a fair bit of crap & wiring.

Cheers

once the bumper is on and headlight in you cant see it. fuses can be accessed from under the bumper but i dont see me blowing them too often.

Nice work, especially with the stock fuse cover. I shoulda kept the one on the bomb i sent to scrap, now i can see a use for it. You have given me an idea of where to hide the wiring, relays & fuses , and use the stock relay cover to hide the new relays for the thermo's. :D

My front bar has to come off for repairs soon, so i might tidy some wiring then as well.

Cheers

its funny how it happened tho. i sat here and thought i dont want it on the intake side as then id have to run wires across the front so thinking of somewhere to install them i remembered all the members who hid the factory wiring in the side panel.. and i thought hey under the headlight is a big empty cavity... once the headlight is in you cant see the screws poking through either. and i used factory screws so i know they wont rust :D

Looks good, what's the plan for the rocker cover? Black as well?

yeah its an NA cam i had in an ea a few years back, made 160rwkw, but hey the price was right, il give it a try, can always change it aye, the tight LSA makes it realy punchy in the midrange
so it should spool pretty early hopefully

needs more lift? how much u want! lol

how are you going for compression? are you going to run a decompression plate? or double up on a head gasket?

i probebly missed it but what transmission will you be running in it? 3 speed 4 speed ot 5 speed?

i have heard the 3 speeds are the strongest, but highway driving 3 speeds suck lol

compression is around 8.9-1 thanks to the 2cc i took out of the bowls, bit high but with a decent tune it should be fine

With a decent tune, and a decent IC, with the correct ignition timing & not too much boost it should be ok.

Cheers

yeah i think its been proved numerous times that you dont need to decomp these motors

Fritzz for example, or the mikes dyno ea, 370 rwkw, 20psi and hundreds of 400m runs on a stock ef bottom end, secrets in the tune i think, and decent cooler like toranaGuy said
