The M62 is aimed at 3lt mtrs, its why Im looking at those also, I am NOT putting together high performance kits, THEY COST MONEY, which is something most of us are short on, rather, its meant to fill a gap, the M90 is ideal for the 4.L mtr the kw's output is not all that high, but the torque it produces makes it viable, read up on the Eatons, I have been talking to various people in the know, about these superchargers, (not 20 yr old mechanics) NO offence meant to any, but people the likes of Harrops, Yella Terra, Herrods, who deal with but ALSO have experimented with these superchargers, so Im not going from the top of MY head about these kits, I have gone deeply into them before I placed my order, now its only a matter of how much its going to cost in putting it all together, at the moment, Im in the process of setting one up in my car, it'll be interesting to see just what the outcome is.. Well I tried, good luck to you.

an M90 gets pushed to its limits on a 3.8 litre... why would you go smaller on a 4.0?

LOL.... I'm NOT interested in using the M62 on the 4.0L mtrs, if you read the postings you will see that, its aimed at other mtrs around the 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 Lt capacity, and also you will have noticed that I have been in contact and spoken to various people who have actually TESTED this supercharger, the testing was done on a 5.0Lt V8 commodore, giving a fair to good results, but because they wanted to create a performance package, they opted for another brand, but as far as the 4.0 Lt is concerned, they all agreed that the M90 should do quite nicely, so long as your not after BRUTE POWER... and that is NOT my aim...

I think an ideal ball park figure of $1800-$2300 for a simple bolt on system, based on a universal set up. that includes brackets, pulley's, manifold & charger.
I would concentrate more on sourcing custom manifold, mounting brackets & pulleys then trying to piece together the whole setup. if you can market them as a kit, there is a better chance of people buying it. I know I'll purchase the brackets, pulley & manifold at around $800-$1200 mark. that gives me the option of buying my own charger later on.

Unfortunately, the inlet manifold theory is slowly fading, simply because no one produces them, and the cost will be too high to get any made up, but, the mounting kit (brackets, pulley and other parts needed), is a more viable proposition, as it gives you the option of setting it up with an intercooler, which after reading tests done on certain V6 commodores, the heat produced, and the difference it made in having one connected, (cooled it by 61%) PLUS the increase in kw's and torque, makes it a must.. the Commodore ended up with 220kws, admittedly bigger injectors a regulator and a retune saw this figure.. not bad for a lil M90, the testing was done at FIT's...

It seems you have reached the same conclusion I had some time ago, I believe FIT has closed shop.
They no longer have a phone listing and their internet site is closed.

Try contacting sprintex supercharger. I know they use to make kits for the i6. Its worthwhile emailing them for details of the mob that manufactured their manifolds. they might be able to give you some leads.
