Any one tried any of the yum cha looking intercoolers than can be found on eBay?

Example:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FORD-BA-BF-XR6-TURBO-HIGH-PERFORMANCE-ALLOY-INTERCOOLER-/390297280953?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5adf87e1b9

Was looking for a drop in replacement for my XR6T, F6 cooler would be preferable, but I've not seen many up for sale.

Efficiency wise they may not be as good as more expensive coolers...
But in this case they are big enough to overcome any shortfalls...

I did see that, however that's for an FG, I was looking for a drop in replacement for a BF, the FG cooler would require a heap of piping work.

I was thinking along these lines myself, I guess I'm more concerned with dodgy welding and whatnot.

Thats one thing the Chinese are rather good at..
Alloy welding either works or it doesn't...
Keep in mind.. Most local i/c brands are made there....

INTERCOOLER,

Ebay has been flooded with cheap decent bar and plate coolers ( HYBRID ripp offs ) and go for around $300 for a 600x300 so dont bother with used intercoolers as the cores can be damaged and leak, and at 300 bucks they are cheap as...

Thanks for the input guys, might just grab one prior to the tune being done. For what I am trying to achieve I don't need a monster cooler, I just want something a little bigger, and better looking, than the stock XR6T cooler.

If your looking for a direct replacement, capa do one as well. Yes its a little more expensive ($495) but i personally would trust them more. http://www.capa.com.au/xr6_accessories.htm

Are you doing a tune as well? if not there is really no point. Ive been told that the factory cooler is good for up to 270-280rwkw, but correct me if im wrong.

I would be doing valve springs and a good tune to if before the cooler.

Hey Adz, I use those coolers all the time in cars they do the job if you are on a budget. With an UDP under battery pipe they are good for 350RWKW.
