Check out this thread of mine. I will be ordering sometime end Jan now (work is just piling up). I think I will be going for custom made studs but these will be around the $30 to 35 mark each. Being custom alot more expensive than mass production. There is no money in it for me so I am really only doing it cause I am getting a set for myself. Stay tuned on this thread if your interested.

are the aftermarket ba main cap studs direct replacement?? i would guess you would need to drill them out because im also guessing they would be 1/2in studs?? if i was ever to fit head studs i would be drilling my block and head and using 1/2in items

half inch is 12.4mm or sumthin any way. if did go half inch, you would only just have enough metal left to get a proper thread.

want to discuss threads, well, with regards to 1/2in studs, from my findings, the major dia of std head bolts is 11.67mm, the minor dia of 1/2in studs will be 11.71mm, therefore, you will completely remove the std thread by dilling it to suit a 1/2in thread.....

mm sounds like ur on the money ebs_4l, the Toplaoder is pretty easy to install. u just use the standard manual bellhouse'n, i think from memory 2 of the original bolt holes lined up then just drill and tapped the other 2. made a new cross menba and she's in. then get ur tailshaft moded to suit. i just got a new 4" one made for.... well just because i could. lol
the shifter im using is a Renagate sequential, R N 1 2 3 4.
