Ef 4.0 side mount vortech v2 running 9 psi motor has a lot of blow back oil coming out of breathes and rocker cover gasket . Just wondering what would be safe psi to run this motor on when it's get new new rings and pistons ???. Engine mods are 1080cc injectors worked xr6 head and cam with a metal head gasket , pacemakers headers 2.5 inch exhaust , intercooler ,au bottom end , fully manulised auto shift kited , 4:11 gears LSD . What kw would it put out on what psi ?? Cheers

What kw would it put out on what psi ?? Cheers ----------------------- Mate if your getting sort of crankcase pressure I would be looking at your rings, it could be that causing you the issues. Lots of car are running much higher the 9psi with out this kind of problem. When you do the rebuild are you looking at a forged set up or just a set of better quality like Hypatec racing pistons? I have a friend who runs a vortech on his EL he has 10psi boost and used Hypatec pistons it does it with ease and make reasonable power. cheers |
