Yeah xr6t just has normal runners.
What I meant in regards to odd mixtures accross the injectors is nothing to do with the injectors themselves, flow wise anyway, but due to air pressure through the manifold. Imagine the air entering the TB, under boost it is forced in and goes straight to the end of the plennum resulting in a pressure build up at the far end. When this happens the last few cyls get a more air fed into them than the rest of the cyls, resulting in a slightly leaner ( not totally lean ) mixture in those cyls. Ive seen a few race prepared turbo cars ( mainly FJ20s in 1600s ) that have the TB mounted in the center of the plenum... just like the XF, EF, EL mainfolds. Also this pressure issue can occure in fuels rails... Ive seen a rexs with modified fuel rails, basically an individual rail per 2 injctors. I wouldnt worrie about all of the above ramblings for a sedate street car though... |
