later model LPG cars still need to under go the same testing procedure that petrol cars do. LPG cars still required an emmisions test if they're build POST ADR87 so any turbo eseries in victoria still requires this test be it on LPG or Petrol

Do capa kits need to be certified after you install them?

To my understanding, Capa kits (if installed 100% as you receive them) then they are 'emmisions' certified.
I *THINK* they still require an engineers certificate. i'm not 100% on that, how ever thats the impression i've got from peope have had gotten Capa kits. as soon as you go different injectors, ECU, intercooler etc then emmisions are potentially changed so you'd need an emmisions test. I'd contact Capa about that though

Car would have to have queensland rego, so in turn a queensland address.
However, the way I understand it, all your rego, fines, etc. would have to be sent to that queensland address, cause I *think* there is a law about once you have lived in a state for a certain period of time you have to change to their rego ? That could be just s**t, I heard it ages ago.

That could be just s**t, I heard it ages ago. I pretty sure after living in a differrant state for three months you are then concidered a resident. So i guess that would mean that you would have to change your rego over.

my dad's a NSW resident, how ever his rego is Victorian, and has been for years.
they pressure him to change it to NSW rego but i don't think they can force it. not 100% sure.

I have been told the cops over here in WA often don't really care about the engineers certs. Don't know if this is true or not, but I am of the same opinion as boosted6. I don't have an engineers certificate, and don't plan on getting one until I get a pretty yellow on the windscreen.

Yeah when they see your car upside down with a turbo on it and its not legal, they most likely wont pay for the house you just flattened

exactley.... and mine is a company car so need it to be insured...... which means engineering cert. oh well. going to have to do it to the T and pay the money to get it all checked out.
either that or keep it garaged and drive round in a different car, except for cruises, drag meets and shows.
