Hello everyone I am new here but I heard from a friend that this is the best Ford site for fans.

Nice to meet you all.

I just wanted to ask a question about Exhaust systems

I just got my exhaust system recently replaced - this includes muffler and pipe to the back of the car (excluding the cat)

But there is a warm smell coming out of the car, is this completely normal?

And if so, how long does it normally take for the smell to go away?

I drive a Ford Fairmont AU Series II 2000

Thanks all

hi welcome to fordmods,

the smell u are talking about is most probably gaskets and maybe silicon getting warm first time and the oil burning off the pipes etc, nothing much to worry about. normally takes a few days driving, getting warm, cooling off a few times.
