Gday,
I am building a supercharged clevo and when trying to bolt up my extractors I ran into a little trouble. All the bolts went in fine except for one...and it would seem that the passenger side bank is warped. So I have had to bite the bullet and order a new set of Genie big bore headers. My mechanic as reccomended that I use heat wrap on the primaries because the new set up will pump out some serious heat. Is there anything I should or shouldn't do when putting it on? Cheers, Matt

matty, If you're keen on the Genies, they offer a heat coating for not much more, looks neat as, not like the wrap!

paint the pipes in exhaust paint or fire place paint, run them on the car for a little while to bake the paint, then wrap them in the heat wrap, wet it before you wrap, it will be neater if applied when wet.

Thanks guys. I'll get them coated and make a heat shield for my starter motor. Have to find out how much they are with the ceramic coating.
