My mate just scored a genuine ea fairmont turbo 5 speed, just wondering how many of these were actually made, cheers.

It's not factory, but an Aftermarket kit that had ADR approval. Is it an AIT or AVO built car?

Also by the look of it it is running 2 computers and it has an extra 7th injector near the throttle body, looks original, and an oil cooler infront of the passenger front wheel.

I have most of the parts here for one... Was always going to fit it to mine one day... Don't think I'll bother now but... Older wiser kind of thing...

Cheers,
Tim

Rarely see them for sale, the ones that I have seen in the past were usually around 8k i think.

Problem is they are such an unknown and a lot of people have such a lack of interest in legalities they are really not worth a great deal.
You would think an ADR approved turbo E series would pull premium money especially in Mexico.
They just are not interested.
There was one on AFF a few months ago and he couldn't get $5k for it.

And to think a standard falcon now makes more power from an n/a motor straight from the factory. Amazing how far cars have come. Be interesting to have a go of an ea turbo

I love finding out about this stuff.

Its not factory in the sense of the term that it was done in broadmeadows, but there were quite a few models sent off to different workshop who spiced them up..

I saw a new in town EF/EL AVO last night with a pretty cool body kit. sounded like an auto but it had a lovely exhaust note.

EDIT: Just reading that AIT page... I wonder if they did any Lanes or LTDs?

Jeebus, it ran 20 psi?

Was there anything done to the internals before they were sent of to AIT?
