Good god! Is that even going to fit into the engine bay?

By the way, where does one purchase those inlet trumpets?

i was gunna ask the same thing about fitting in there.

if you had access to the trumpets it would be easy enough to rig up direct port injection... not cheap but not hard also lol.

wouldn't mind knowing if you fabbed those trumpets or bought them...

Hi low_ryda , most likely fabricated

There are a few people that make them but not cheap

Depending what equipment is at your disposal and on how handy you are you could make them.

If you have access to a lathe just machine some up may take some time but not hard time consuming and a lot of material will be wasted in the machining process. Could get costly as aluminium is not cheap.

Another method is metal spin form in a lathe
http://www.ausmetal.com.au/Metalspinning.html
http://www.coe.ufrj.br/~acmq/spinning/

http://aardvark.co.nz/pjet/spinning1.shtml , have a read "intake venturis I've been spinning for my pulsejet engines" here are a few pics also

other alternative is machine up two dies a male and female and use suitable aluminium size in diameter and thickness and press form the trumpets ( the bellmouth area )

10 to 20 tonne hydraulic press will do the trick in pushing the tapered form into the alloy tubing

there are many other ways of making them .

cheers

i've heard of the spinning from flat sheet before but never seen it done, that video was great.

think the most cost effective (and safest) for me would be the dies though lol, something bout that spinning disc reminds me of all the morning cartoons i used to watch as a kid....

awsome links and very informative cheers FPV_GTp

Hi justa6 nice call , website link , http://www.jntperformance.com.au/index_c269035.html have sizes starting 32mm ID right up to 64mm ID in varies lengths Velocity Stacks in Aluminium

Thing to consider is material thickness specially if being used for turbo application ??? and there are no specs indicating what the bellmouths material thickness is.

They also do turbo compressor inlet bellmouths for various sizes Turbo Bellmouths Aluminium http://www.jntperformance.com.au/index_c269038.html

Cheers

yeah they are pretty thin, like 2mm or so. but such a small area and they have a plate welded in the middle (your plenum) they seem fine.
