hi

Just experimenting here , what are people using on there forced induction inline 6 cylinder engines when it comes to intake manifolds ( PLENUMS )

do people have pictures of any falcon set ups ? and can u post them

Long runs ?
short runners ?
Plenum size ? round shaped square shaped tapped end ?
trumpets/bellmouth entry runners ?
throttle body position ? front entry side entry middle entry ?
Throttle body size ?

Judging from the CPI ,MPI and BBm manifolds that ford has placed originally on the falcons seems people are just using them

CPI manifold is out of the question a no go zone ????

MPI seems what some people are having success with as the throttle body is at the front entry of the manifold but would be interesting to see what sort of cylinder fill distribution occurs

BBm on the later series falcons seems poeple are using but would be interesting to see what sort of cylinder fill distribution occurs

Uneven cylinder filling causes all sorts of tuning problems robbing potential horse power gains this area seems to be untouched when it comes to ford I6 cylinder E series engines

Ok nizpro does a BA xr6T plenum , would be interesting to see the insides of one his units does anyone have pictures feel free to post them

have seen some fabricated manifolds on the market place but all VL commodore stuff and quite a few of them .

Here are some pics of aftermarket commodore VL RB30T and RB26T plenums

would like to hear peoples opinions on plenums ???

This is what a Rajab plenum looks like. It bolts onto the standard runners and is apparantly the most responsive on the market.

My apologies for all the other crap in the picture.

Alot of aftermarket support for the RB30.
And I've got alot of respect for the Rajab guys, staying with the RB30ET instead of going the DOHC hybrid route.

re: Intake length with turbocharging
Does the principle of long trumpets = more torque and power down low, short trumpets = more up top, still apply?
Or is it basically a moot point, with the only consideration being plenum volume and cylinder distribution?

hi

i read the thread tjb45 wrote
and a very nice job you are doing

would love to see the dyno figures once everything is completed

and a very nice plenum job you have done

question ? is it ok if i put a link to you thread so people can also see what you are upto ????

whos throttle body are you using ?

will be interesting to see how the plenum performs , when you run the car on any dyno will you be probing the individual exhasut temps to see how even the cylinder filling ???? whether you have certian cylinders favoured more than others ????

ideal dyno runs and datalogging would be a aie/fuel ratio sensor in each cylinder to see the individual cylinders ????

keep up the good work

cheers
