ok guys try and work out this

LPG rods are $77 each
XR6T rods are $450 each
TYPHOON RODS ARE $88 but you need a VIN number to buy them

these rods will back fit any shoc engine with the use of AU pistons,ACL race for high compression. or BA turbo pistons for low compression

from the specs i've seen they will sit the piston about 9thou down with an AU gasket that leaves 30thou piston/head clearance. about as tight as you would want to go.

thought that might be of interest to some people

LPG rods are stronger then stock barra190 rods. and so and so forth

what we can't work out is why typhoon rods are so cheap and XR6T rods are so much.

basicly it lets anyone building a high comp N/A engine use the flat top AU ACL race piston.

or a cheap upgrade for a meduim turbo build with the BA turbo piston.

by the way does any one know the stock rev limmit of a barra190 engine?

i thought it varied depending on the situation, like the temperature and that of the engine.

Be very interested how you go building this motor if it goes ahead.

With the ba and au the conrods are a different length arnt they?.
Do you need to do any work with the e series crank to fit the conrods or is it just that you can't put e series rods in ba or au's not the other way around.

the big ends are the same. and thats what counts. pistons are easy. AU and BA/F rods are the same length so the use of the AU piston is a must. or the the 250 crossflow with 200 rods piston the ACL does but that put the piston 40thou down
