Hi everyone

I have a 12 XR6 Turbo and from about 2200rpm there is a whistling or whir from the turbo, it is like a kettle whistling when I am giving a bit of stick, any ideas

Ha ha, but if the pipe that connects from the turbo to the throttle body is loose or not quite on straight (at the turbo end) it will whistle like a kettle on steroids under boost & it is definitely a different & higher pitched whistle than standard.
At least that is how it sounded on my BA turbo when that plastic pipe came loose & made a tiny gap between the turbo & pipe. Has only happened once so far & I almost shat myself when I heard it.
