Ok thanks for the replies i really dont wanna go auto because i like driving manual just that i dont have a spare $1200 for clutch and bearings because mine are stuffed. and i got a perfect eb 4 speed and all the parts in the shed to go auto. Then again i am aiming for 250-280rwkw and that would be pushing a stock 4 speed to the max.
How much do them tko boxes cost and do they bolt staight in? The other idea i heard of is ba xr6t internals in my t5 which is meant to cost about $2500.

Good Work EBXR380 plenty of options there.
Definately give Mal Wood Automotive a call in QLD. The offer a tougher T5 "Z" spec which they rate for high 200rwkw and come in at around $2,250 with changeover. They offer a few clutches to suit as well. The next step is the TKO box for the $5-6k mark then the T56 6 speed for around $8k with clutch to suit. So thats $2,250 - T5 "Z" Spec $5,000 - $6,000 TKO & Clutch $8,000 - T56 6 Speed Gearbox & Clutch

Thanks for that. Theres a fair chance i might be getting a little 4 cylender for a daily driver, if so ive decided that ill be putting something like a toploader or manualised auto in it. If not i like the sounds of the z box.

yes, that would most likely be a Hollinger box... I'd be looking for one of those over anything else

May have to use U.S 4 speed as they ar somewhat modded for power...But for $$$ the G.M 4 speed works out cheaper...Sadly..Bellhousing from Castlemain rod shop...

omfg hate to know what that set u back, should be a awesome combination though. As for 4 speed autos i was aslo considering this option, my car used to have a 4 speed, and i currently have a perfect box out of a eb in the garage but i really prefer the manual to drive.
