im thinking i may cut my losses and sell my baby after many years of great service. im thinking of buiying an f6 in RAPID and i was wondering what the general view of the F6 is. is it a reliable car or am i going to have problems down the track. ill have the money to maintain it as i am going into a very well paid industry. also if i put an edit on it does it void the warranty?

edit voids warrenty, you'll find a lot of ppl will put the stock tune on for any times it goes back to the dealer.

I'm not 100% sure on it, i don't own a BA
this is just what i've gotten from people that have the flash tuner.

my ford dealer tells me that if you have an edit and you restore it back to the fatory tune before it goes back in to them they can't tell, just don't leave the flash tuner / edit in the car while it is there.

Kurt (KTASTRPHE) has the Phase II kit and a chip (can't remember which one, might be a unichip) on his XR6T, and pulls 370rwhp. Lucky bastard got it all covered under warranty as well.

i drove a '05 BA MK2 Tornado, ute version of the Typhoon, very unimpressed, for the power and torque figures i want alot more excitement than it actually gave.
flash tuning can be changed very easily and can't be picked up during servicing, or take it to an authorised service agent thats not Ford to do the servicing, if anything goes wrong, change your tune back to factory for warranty

If you use the throttle lots the fuel economy is absolutely appauling, but fuel economy isn't what cars like this is all about.. if you even think about fuel economy then you're looking at the wrong car

The typhoone realy does go well in stock form but if it's power you want then why wouldn't you go for the 5.4 V8. After all less mods to get the same power if not more, and same if not better fuel economy. I know the XRT goes well but if you want reliable power with resonable econamy personaly I'd go for the 8 banger. At the end of the day power really does result in more fuel. The turbo is just a feel good caper with power that lets you think your using less fuel than you are.
