Hey there
Was just wondering if there was such a thing as a "hidden" turbo kit for the I6? E.G http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/YELLA-TERRA- ... 2a1062739f except not for a ba 8 , but for a el 6? |

That's a blower...
I guess a nice tucked up turbo on side of engine with ACL heat shield over it would LOOK Like a stock manifold... The other option is a 6262 Precision turbo behind bell housing and gear pump for oil return.. One of these http://www.tiltonracing.com/content.php ... id=222&m=d with short length of tube before pump, so it pumps cooler oil... This way there's NO need to drill sump for oil return..

how in gods name is that stealth when "supercharged" is clearly on the super cover?
Anyways the closest thing to a hidden turbo would be mounting it further down the exhaust...but the pipe work might give it away. If not Snort Performance supercharger that basically replaces the BBM on the E/ELs...with some little bit of craftsmanship, you might be able to make it look stock.

I just saw it and thought it would be interesting to find out about
Silly question, but is there a way, other than a heatshield, to try and cover it over? like to cover the intercooler pipes etc (due to age, and yes i know that they whine and so on to lol) And if a small side mount one would be applicable, what would youse suggest? |

I have a stealth turbo on my car. It is real hard to see on the car itself so I've uploaded the picture of the kit (below).
^ As you can see, it's just about invisible.

dont do it your too young mate and i think your too inexperienced to drive a turbo.. you may need a few years under your belt first. a turbo setup for a cheap one will run you around 5k min. and plus all your fines your more than likely gonna receive id just wait.
buy all the s**t for it like your turbo intercooler fuel systems and so on and just whack it on when its legal..

The problem will not be the coppers who might put a sticker on your car mate.
The problem will be the insurance company not paying out when you overcook it into the back of someones $100,000 BMW or similar or into a nice $30,000 lamp post. How would you like to be paying off that, plus the value of your car for the foreseeable future?? The rules are there for a reason mate and you trying to cirumvent them only proves how valuable they are!
