Thanks to an unfortunate encounter with a kangaroo on a 110km/h highway I'm in the market for a new intercooler (and front bar..) - has anyone had any experience with one of the ebay jobbies? such as the one found {DESCRIPTION}

For that sorta price I'd definately spend the extra and get the Hybrid kit, nicer looking cooler, better brand new and it includes replacement piping or larger diameter. I think it also reduces the length of the induction piping somewhat...

I was looking at some coolers from BPT and the prices are scary.

Does anyone actually have some before and after dynos (not JMM ones :P) and quarter mile times or something to show if it's actually worth all the extra outlay?

That's cool, I was going to upgrade the cooler anyone, this just gives me a good excuse to do so :)

jump on xr6turbo forums. get a WogCooler through the bloke they call the Wog. They bolt in to the standard pipework and flow heaps better. Good price too.

Yeah I've had a poke around there too.. half the guys on there have some fairly serious work done to their cars too, I just want to see the diff between a stock intercooler and aftermarket, lol. I'll figure it out.

Pics when I get a digital camera. There's not a lot to see actually - from the outside, the only evidence of a collision is a bent numberplate. If you look closely the front bar is a bit off and some of the bolts on the air deflector underneath don't quite line up like they used to. It also killed my radiator (which was a replacement heavy duty item too - grr) so I'm now back to a standard factory radiator. It might be worth investing in some aluminium tanks though.

That is the wog cooler, i bought the same cooler off ebay and it arrived with xtc advertising, which is dyno wogs business. As far as bang for you buck they are decent coolers, with just the cooler and generic 10psi tune i got 255.5 rwkw, where as the tune alone normally only gets around 230-240rwkw. Plus they are piss to fit and look good.

Wog cooler is the exact smae one as the Monza - They come from the same factory he just bought a few and sold them as "wog" coolers.
Use to think the wog was teh ducks nuts but then you hear peoples storys!
Get whoever is cheaper - The monza one from autotechnica that Most Autobarns, Repco's, Auto Ones can get in or if the Wog is doing them cheap!
