Hi Guys,
I have an EB series 2 Falcon with a turbocharged AU motor putting out 205 kw at the rear wheels at the moment. My tuner advised me that because of high temps, the car is set up rich with very little timing and advised me to fit an intercooler which I intended to do anyway. I am now installing an intercooler and I need some info/pics on the routing of the hot side piping. If any one can help, be much appreciated. Cheers Father |

Hey mate, have a look in the build threads in the garage there's plenty of turbo e series with documented builds with pics. Normally people relocate the battery to the boot and have the hot side intercooler piping going trough a hole into the base of battery tray and down into the front bumper. Or if you don't want to cut holes you can go directly down and out through the k frame and back up into the front bumper trimming the plastic inner guard, the biggest problem with this is that when you jack the car up the cooler pipe hits the radius rod which is how mine is. But it's not a big issue just have to make sure the joiners don't pop off the turbo.

Thanks very much for the info, was thinking to relocate the battery in the boot, mainly to fit the air filter where the battery was so as to pick up some colder air.
I think there's enough room to do both Thanks again |

I had similar ideas mate but then didn't want to move the battery around. Not sure who has this setup on their car but it's what I plan on doing...
All depends on how much work you want to be doing. |

Relocating the battery does give a lot more room for intake pipe for cooler air. Yeah Dave you would need a same side intercooler for that set up. Is there going to be much room for the upper pipe near where the a/c gear is? E.g receiver dryer?

I'm going through the inner guards, but there isn't much room for 3.5" piping in a f**k off low car any other way.

I am now scared with the idea of room with the a/c I'll be using 2.5" pipe so fingers crossed it will all fit.

On second thought a/c should clear ok, im concerned about the reo bar bracket that the upper pipe will be facing, ill post the pic in your build thread so you know what i mean. Dont wanna clog up this thread.
