What happens to the PCV in forced induction set ups? I mean surely with the boost pushing against it, it won't open to vent, so that can't be good?

|
go an oil catch can with vent to atmosphere through a filter. not to sure how EPA like it but it works.

Yeah, dont address this problem and you're pressurising the crankcase. The blower just saw the connection at the TB blocked, then run the hose from the oil filler (used to run between the PCV vent on the filler to the fitting on the TB) to the air intake before the blower. That was on the V8, not sure where the PCV vent is on an I6...

The EPA wouldnt like it at all. Just vent it to the intake pre blower/turbo. It works and it's compliant.

personally i wouldn't put the return pipe before the turbo, if you have enough blow-by to blow oil through (most reasonably worn engines do) you'll be spraying oil into the turbine thats spinning around 100,000rpm, it WILL damage blades and seals.
thats my opinion and experience.

you guys seem to be forgeting that the PCV is a valve and it will close under boost. and operate the same as it always did. the only thing i would recomend is the use of the early type one, steel not plastic
the rocker breather at the back of the head is the one you need to worry about. thats a simple fix though, from the rocker cover to oil catch can to intake piping pre-boost (infront of turbo/blower |

But with the catch can hooked up to the rear breather will it ever fill up with oil or does it just catch oil vapour? I've seen catch cans that have a valve underneath so they can be emptied and I have also seen the odd catch can that has line going from the bottom of the can back to the sump, hence no need to empty the can as it is self emptying and will never over flow. Many ricers seem to dislike that idea cause they reckon the oil in the catch can is bad oil and is not allowed to return to the sump. Its just oil FFS. |

change it to the EB style steel PCV, but yes it will not flow air into the engine. the boost will close it |

which will not allow the pressure to be vented as intended, get a non atmospherically venting catch can.
Although I very much doubt that the oil vapour being vented with do much damage to the turbine blades, factory's set up their cars like this so it can be that bad. It will however lower intercooler efficiency. |

Use a catch/breather can.
