currently running a supercharged EL GHIA on 5psi. 200rwkw
heres a picture of the setup right now i have noticed a small issue with heatsoak after long runs. as you can see i cant run a snorkel from the airbox as the powersteering pump has been relocated. i could try to wrap everything up with heatshield and put a pod filter in with a heatshield aswell. but at the end of the day, for the best results id imagine intercooling would be the way to go. any advice on how to do it or go about it would be great. |

I wouldnt bother intercooling for 5psi.
Run a filter through the guard under the airbox so it gets cold air. Thats what Im gonna do on mine. I cant fit a snorkel either. |

That setup would be easy as to run an intercooler.
Something like the snort performance setup could be modded to fit. That with a good cold air intake and a boost rise should see some results. Another option would be a water to air setup from frozenboost.com. One of their barrel coolers might fit between the rocker cover and bonnet. |

The subaru liberty water-air core would be perfect for this application. Is there anything it can't do?

I'm about to to start running a 10psi solid pulley. That's why I want to intercool. Are those scubi intercoolers your talking about the generic top mount they all use on the boxer engine? If so I like the idea as it's concealed. Although it wouldn't work as well will out a vent, but. I guess you can relocate them to sit with the radiator can't you? More info on where and how to fit the scubi one please

Air to Air just won't cut it with the tiny blower you have. |

Gureno, if the charger sits low enough you may be able to mount a subi or similar w2a core directly between charger outlet and TB...looks like there might almost be enough room.
Source all the bits from a subi performance specialist or subi wrecker... and check ebay. Air to air will cause you to lose too much boost, which you don't have a lot of at the moment due to a small charger. When was the 200rwkw figure achieved? Joe

just going off what i have been told from the guy who did the build. he's says it was making 270rwhp in 05. and i dont think it would be to far off the mark now. i wont claim anything until its dynoed so im not talking s**t, just purely going off what i heard about the build.
i had a 190rwkw 300zx. and this pulls about the same as the 300 used to. still yeah i get what your saying, you will believe it when you see it. so the dyno is soon, ill let you know what it makes off that run. alright ill fit the new pulley then. if it blows you owe me a motor |

battery relocate to the otherside of the engine bay where the air box is, then piss off that air box and piping and run some piping and filter to where the battery used to live, preferably have the filter in the guard or with some kind of box or ducting

nah the kid who had it before me thought it was a sprintex.
the guy who built the car is the guy who had it from new. a mate of mine remembers the car coming into his shop during his apprenticeship. its more or less the unique tuning that went into the build more then the mechanics. the fact its working so well with the SC14 blower should give you an indication of the specialty of the tune. read up on chipmaster, hes retired now, but he goes about tuning alot differently to most guys. i also sent of an email to daniel at chipmaster to get some history on these supercharger kits he was handing out in 05. plus the car has headwork, cam, exhaust, intake and chipped. haha a Z32 i wish. nah mate i had a Z31 single turbo. i think it weighed about the same as a falcon if i remember correctly easily over 1400kg anyway, she was a torque monster, there was no limiter bashing in that old girl. |
