Chef- How much did the engineer charge you to have it inspected and certified? Also you said that you cannot have a boost controller, do you know if that is for both pneumatic and solenoid systems (as in mechanical or electronic).

i found this thread this morning.. before work.. and was itching ALL day to get home and read it.. and i'm glad i did...

so much information in here....

i'm starting to buy all the bits and pieces i need for a turbo setup.. i got a turbo.. and thats the first thing i bought.. a mate of mine will make all my piping for me.. including manifold etc.. and will prolly run a microtech computer...

will certainly refer to this thread for info when i need it.. .:)

Yep same here, and turbos on the falcon motor.. u know ur gaining serious amounts of power and fun. so its almost worthwhile to do it to any falcon.. but cost is an issue for some or most people.

That's awesome. I have been planning to turbo my car, in fact, the EXACT same ED as yours, colour and all.

Just out of interest, is that ED lowered?

Cost is an issue, but fuel system could also be an issue, with so many LPG falcon's getting around out there.

If i were to turbo my falcon, i'd have to work something out about the LPGI setup, apparently it's only good for 200 Flywheel KW, which with the fresh motor, isn't very far away at all. Not that i have the $$$ to turbo it, just spent too much on engine & 5spd swap.

I have some extractors for it now, but i'll keep the stocko manifold incase i manage to get a turbo fall into my possesion. It doesn't look too hard to mod it to have a turbo hanging off.

Cheers

ToranaGuy
