Well, it depends on many more factors than just housing AR's... exhaust manifold, exhaust system, wastegate, comp ratio, fuel A/F ratio and advance timing off boost all play a big part in reducing lag. Get it all right and your motor is on boost quickly... get them all wrong and you'll have tonnes of lag regardless of the turbo and its specs...

Yeah,
I dont think its would be a limiting factor in getting 300. In my view, 300wkws is obtainable from more boost and a bigger exhaust and better ignition mapping. The XR6T manifold is very close to a stock NA manifold and they are used on many 300plus wkws motors

Nice setup Chef, been watching it for a while now.
When you get your new zorst are you going to make the screamer pipe off the wastegate longer? Ive been told that a longer pipe that joins further down the main pipe gives you better spool up times even if it doesn't give you higher kw's.

Maybe, but that will mean making a new down pipe aswell which I doupt I'll do... lag isnt really an issue for me so I dont see the need for it. I ve made loger wastegate pipes for my previous cars in the past and yeah, they can aid in spool, especially with small turbos on smaller cc motors

Most of the ones I've seen involve the overflow tank being moved over to the airbox side (airbox removed), and the battery moved to the boot. Then you'll have plenty of room.

But IANATD (I Am Not A Turbo Driver)
