I have scoured ebay and stumbled across these, all from the same bloke.

Note the direct drive of the impellor shaft....

At $1200 they don't look like good news at all, At least with a vortech you get oil lines and the pulley geared of the impellor shaft, can just imagine the shaft bearing (if it has one) being chewed out in no time.

On one view it looks as if its a mould of a garret turbo, on another a vortech?

Any thoughts?

LOL, first ones a turbo with the exhaust housing removed and a pulley in its place.
Theres a reason all the other centrifigual blowers have a gearbox on them ;)
How fast does an engine spin.
How fast does the compressor on a turbo spin.
Direct drive? Not gonna work....

when did garrett start making superchargers????, it looks to me like a cut down turbo.

To pour moulten alloy into a wooden mould is just shear stupid, 650+c of moulten alloy for 5 mins in a wooden mould = fire.
The moulds he has for sale are used for making a plastic / resien prototype, you have to get it copied to a billet of steel for each section close to twice the thickness of the mould at a cost of around 10k each.
I spent 5 years working in a Engineering Alloy die casting work shop.

Wonder if you mated the turblower to a large ratio overdrive gearbox and drove the gearbox off the crank. Could work, could not work, who wants to try?
