Well if youre talking about turboing a naturally aspirated car, then i hope you're thinking low boost.
First things first, you need manifolds and exhaust. If you already have access to these, then these need putting on. Once these are on, get the turbo sitting right, and make sure there arent anyclearance issues. Next thing would be an oil feed line, which generally comes from near the filter. Then you need an oil return line into the sump. But to do that, its best(needed) to take the sump off so as not to get any filings and such in. Might be an idea to weld the fitting in there so as it doesnt come out. Then, depending on your turbo, it may need water cooling lines. If so, these need connecting. Once all this has been done, you can fit up the intercooler if you are getting one, then route the intake pipes. Its necessary to decide where you want your pipes to run before getting an intercooler, as the intercooler end tanks may not be suitable. Then just finish off the rest of the plumbing including blow off valves etc. (might i add psssschhht!) Its a fairly involved process, that doesnt just require bolting up. If you want more information, or to look at some installs in some american mustangs, head over to www.turbomustangs.com Theres some very interesting reads in the forums, including one guy whos currently welding up the hot side with an alternator and little petrol motor. Ingenious, but i have other methods
