Bigger is better for flow with high psi, smaller is better for response on low psi = good boost at low rpm.

But im sure ill be flamed for even the suggestion of running 2.5. I ran it, no probs as yet :)

you will get away with 2.5inch up to about 7-9 psi, depends on your cooler too as to what you plan to do.

What are your intentions and what are you trying to achive?

He said up the top between 5-10 which is a pretty broad range. Maybe he's intent on running boost spike

iv got 2.5" currently running 11-12psi but any more than this and i get detonationat a pretty low load part of the map with a very safe amount of timing,so im upgrading to 3" now, with a custom plenum with front mount xf throttle body, this will eliminate a lot of bends too

Can i ask are the xf throttle bodies bigger? Ive never looked at one.

Make sure you do a thread on the custom plenum :) are you using the bbm bottom or is it full custom?
