whats the best way to run the pipe work for a baxt turbo should i get the standard pipes that are 4kms long? or buy a aftermarket set up or has any one built a kit with tubes and elbows? it isnt a ford turbo cooler with the inlet and outlet on the same sides.

I will be in touch with an engineer tomorrow to ask that very question. Specifically can I cut 3" holes into my engine bay walls?

go the full kit.

the stock pipework sux a**, the best way iv seen is to use the underbattery spot for the airfilter in the inner guard and use an in out style cooler removing the stock airbox and using the space to run the cold pipes around the inlet side.

this keeps the radiator heat and the turbo heat away from the cold pipes.

have a look in my gallery, there are 2 kits there to see. i cant post pics at work.

mine is from plazmaman racing.

its an ba xt which im boosting ive already got a big cooler, garrett t3/t4 turbo. its got a gt front bar on it with my air intake all sorted out. i just need turbo to cooler and cooler to throttle body pipe work. i have access to all the 3inch alloy tube i can handle... is it hard to plumb it this way with elbows ect. or better just to get a kit?

when i get home i will post up pics of the car without the front bar so you can see where the pipes go.

you will have trouble getting 3 inch under the passenger headlight, best thing is to use a silicone hose under the light or cut a 3.5 inch hole in your inner guard where the old airbox was and run the solid pipe through this hole.

as for the hot pipes from the turbo to the intercooler you will have trouble there too, using silicone hoses and alloy pipe is also needed here.

the pre mentioned fabricator has seperate kits for pipework hot and cold side and can be sold seperatly, as long as your turbo points down it should fit.

chef// rapidsystems or plazmaman xr6turbo developments all can hook you up.
