hey,

you guys think an exhaust shop would be able to make up a low mount exhaust manifold for an EF???

only ask cause i dont want my turbo sitting out there at the top, want to take a sleeper aproach to it all **as seen in some jzx100 chasers, skylines, supra's**

cause if you follow this idea you can run a thermal blanket over it all keeping the heat in and concealing the turbo.
If you dont understand what i mean, the manifold will exit the cylinders then arch up a bit then all come down and meet, for the turbo to be mounted on with the exhaust manifold adapter at the top of the turbo.

thanks

aslong as you can get everything to clear engine mount/steering components and anything else that runs down there i don't see why there would be any reason why you can't.

but have a look at some sets of extractors and you'll see how close they goto the steering shaft, i'd imagine it could cause headaches with either turbo placement or even the dump pipe.

dump pipe should be able to run pratically straight back if my rough measurements are right **straight back as in where the current exhaust is**

You cant hide a turbo... your best bet is to keep the bonnet shut, quiet exhaust and dont hang a big polished intercooler out th front

lol, its kind of hard to explain...... but low mount keeps the fact your running a huge turbo more discreat, and i will be running a water-air intercooler to also keep it less noticeable to the men in blue.

that is a custom made plenum by Greenslade Engineering, the throttle body is from stryder peformance in the states, it is a copy of the veilside unit...

btw, Greenslade Engineering is me and my dads business, we have made every single custom part on my car.

note: that trophy was won on the weekend at our local show and shine, i won it for best 6cylinder...

IIRC Turbotrana did a low mount turbo setup with the wastegate on top
