hmmm... I didn't know the EF's were clear and Red... Thats pretty cool.. I think I'll do that if I keep the EL.

use the EL they look better when you lower them :)

a deeper aftermarket bumper would toughen the back end up a lot.

I'm leaning toward the EL.. but the shape of the tail lights is just so.......... gay..

the EF ones are better... but still...

Wonder if fabricating some sort of Garnish would help...

I just did some measuring and with a small amount of body work, the boot of the EA would fit.. :-)

you would be better off putting the EL front on the EA. alot less work

Not with my EA there isn't...

have to replace both sill panels so comparitively, the EL with ED lights is still easier..

And noone has ever done it...

I don't know, think I'll wait till I get the supoercharged motor in, and Fairmont dash and wiring and the 10ish grand of stereo gear that's in the EA now...

I love the shape of the EL, except for the tail lights and boot..

The EA needs both sill panels replaced and thats alot of welding...

I hope you choose the el, really don't like anything about the ea. I prefer the clean back end of the el and personally think the plastic garnish on the ea looks tacky and cheap. El lowered, debadged, colour coded mouldings and mirrors to me is classy and ea with clear tail lights screams bogan racer.

All said and done though, I've read every page of this thread to see a pd blower hooked up to an inline six and respect is had whatever car you decide to bolt it into.

Its likely I will choose the EL, because in addition to being worth more, and having a nicer front end and no rust..

Putting the engine in is dead easy because the suporcharged engine is a complete EL.. meaning I can give up on all the rewiring I've been doing to the EA.

yeah. but I strive to be different..

driving to work this morning I saw at least 50 EF/EL's and they all look much the same and maybe thats the problem now.. there are so many of them around that they are ho-hum...

I agree with clear lights normally, but I needed to buy ED lights for the EA, and these were about the same price and looked the same color... so I figured I'd give it a shot..

I started looking around today and it would require some cutting and welding, but BA tail lights are not that different to EL in overall shape, just without the narrow curves. :-)

perfect for a stealth chrager install, exactly what you want the cops to think as you drive past !!

..... dunno how you will go with the blower whine though, maybe heaps of sound deadening under the bonnet?
