Hi Mr XFpaul... I'm trying mate...

Actually, you are running gas too are you not? What changes does the M90 make to your gas setup?

Also, what PSI have you set you charger up with?

sorry for all the questions.. but I'm a firm believer in making use of knowledge when it's available to save myself trouble.

don't worry frankieh, you're not the only one in search for information! I'm interested in how much boost is being run as well, what might be the "safe" (engine integrity wise) limit

since you're bolting this onto the 'new engine'... it doesn't have any mods, just bolting it on stock? that'll be wicked lol!

I don't know what is done to this existing motor other than that it used to have a turbo on it and has oil return lines and stuff still there. The motor checks out very clean though and is lumpy as hell... thats good enough for me at the moment. If I blow it.. I have two spares here, both very decent low KM engines. :-)

As I understand it.. 10PSI is a good limit for a standard motor and I'm not planning much more than that. (maybe 11) At that sort of boost with extractors/hi flow cat/big exhaust and the other odds and ends I should be around the 25orwkw mark but since it's a PD blower..the useful boost starts at about 800 rpm so the fun begins very early.

Can't wait... car is just about ready to go over the pits now... then it's time to sort the gas install out and then the charger goes in...

LOL.. got a ways to go on mine yet... getting it in the car and hooked up is just the first bit.. I expect the fine tuning will take a bit of work also..

When I'm done I was thinking of documenting the whole process end to end so people can more easily do the same thing... I know that would have been handy to me.

Out of curiousity, how much has it cost you so far? And what power levels do you think you'll get?

I think I'll get 250ish kilowatts at the back wheels with 10-11psi.. thats all I want anyway, but I suppose I could push it harder if the urge took me.

As for cost.. the actual supercharger and related bits come to a total of about 1500 bucks.

Stuff like: m90, water to air intercooler/pump/cooler, remote oil filter mount, 255lt fuel pump, rising rate fuel reg and a dozen other bits.. want to buy a J3 setup to tune the tickford ECU.

If all it ends up costing is 2k, then I've done well and have a car with 250rwkw that is solid and should last for ages, has no turbo lag, produces torque and power gains right from idle...
and looks totally stealth. knowing what I know now, I could probably have saved money... also if I wasn't trying to do a stealth install, also would be cheaper (use air to air intercooler instead of water to air for example)

regards

Frank

from what ive seen, boosted e-series are a never ending mission, just make sure the tune is spot on before you drive it anywhere and you should be ok

car is registered, it's on gas, its paid me some money from goverment grants and I have nearly got all the bits I need.

Just waiting on a T5 because I want to do it all in one hit.

then the charged engine goes in and all should be good.

SORRY i havent answered you frank, some nice doctor told me i had cancer of the tounge, so i have been flat out having cemo radiation etc. anyhow getting past that s**t and im getting better so i want to get back into my car, im driving my sc at 2.4 times crank, that being 6.5" au2 harmonic and 2.7" pulley on the snout, now reading a lot of thunderbird, mustang forums i should be seeing 10-12 psi but im not, just before i took sick i changed the intake to 75mm/3", removed the gas ring etc.

got a small increase, now seeing 7-8 psi, but still think 65mm throttle body is resticting the flow, got a 75mm on the way from states as we speak, will be a direct bolt on for ea-au tb's may have to sell to the boys, see how i go

going direct injection gas soon, i am qual'd in lpg so no issues there just need bits, want to use special soleniods so i can run nitrous through them as well.

want to get better and run full throttle till i run out of road, hopefully years away
