Thanks guys...
buckets4LT, you are in the wrong state mate.. I imagine the shipping on an m90 won't be that cheap. Anyone know what the best plugs for these are? Googling seems to have lots of suggestions. Bosch FR7DCX gapped at 0.8mm bosch fr7kpp33u+ .8 or .7 NGK BKR7EIX Irridium IX Plugs 0.8mm I guess I'll go the factory jobs from ford if nobody has any experiances with alternatives. Also, are the coils the same from BA to BF ? I could probably source some BF coils easily enough.. I am guessing the coils are the same turbo to NA? cheers Frank |

Shipping from WA shouldn't be too bad. Shipping to WA sucks.
IIRC my kit came from Canberra and cost about $100 via TNT, using interparcel.com.au. E-go.com.au can be pretty cheap too, especially if you only ship from depot to depot. |

Noted Troyman, thanks. I shall get the NGK's. |

Soooooo.... how much for the kit? Transport is not a problem for me, I have contacts..... Go easy on me Matt... I'm still grieving for the fact that I won't have a M90 charged EL anymore myself. I have not worked out what it all cost me yet.. but here is what I have collected or fabricated for the job. * short snout M90 Eaton charger, fabricated mounts, intake and outlet housings and piping and nylon charger coupler) modified belt tensioner and other bits required for mounting. * Subaru RS turbo water to air intercooler, two 12v water pumps. * AU fuel rail with xr6T reg on it. (thanks to troyman). * Oil filter relocation kit. * Other stuff too.. like a remote mount TFI module etc and stuff I have collected and promptly forgotten about.. it fills a cupboard in my office. I have not decided yet weather I'll keep the water to air intercooler and use it on the XR6T or sell it. Water to air is more effective for the sort of driving I do.... To get the charger to fit you also have to modify the heater piping.. but its no biggie and I drove the EL around for 2 years with the modified piping and a working heater so clearly it isn't an issue. Part of me is very sad that I didn't see it reach fruition. I'm tempted to convert the EF.. but what is the point of a charger in a car that you will only drive for 2 or 3 weeks a year? |

Well, that is certainly true. But I want to concentrate on less projects, not more.. Still. Is very tempting... I may need to consider that. I have done most of the work ready haven't I?

pull the motor from the wreck and put it in the shed next to the supercharger. when you have a spare hour or 2 go out there and bolt it on, do bit by bit. by the time its all bolted on you can decide if you want to sell it or buy a dunger EF/EL and drop it in

Thats not a bad idea, except I already have an EF wagon that the engine and T5 (and dash, and interior, and 3.45:1 LSD center) will be going in... so now I'm wondering if I shouldn't just set it up for 4 or 5 psi.. that way I could probably get away with just the xr6T reg and possibly a J3.
Would be good for towing too.. which is what the car will be used for. |
