This site has been more than helpful for me-
Will check the tensioner in the morning- Carry the toolkit in the boot now, as after every time i flog it, the belt comes loose - this might be I can't see the tensioner bolt moving, there's 2 locknuts on either side, which i've tightened to the max |

Hey,
i couldn't quite tell from the pic, as it is a bit to shadowy, but is the s/c driven off the balancer directly to the s/c in one loop. You might have to stop the belt orbiting, this is prolly why its jumping ribs on the pulley. Looks like there is enough room to have a bracket off the rear of s/c to the main bracket holding charger, or and a gussetting bracket to the front of main s/c bracket, if there is enough room and will stop flex for sure. Maybe look at having belt wrap around a middle pulley in between s/c and crank drive ( will stop orbiting also ) If more wrap around pulleys is possible, this should help also. Hope you get it sorted. Daz

Daz, my crude diagram should help you explain things a bit more clearly

I would whip that tensioner out and install an auto tensioner. Providing you got a place to mount it.
