kudos for effort mate, more rewarding doing it yourself...

couple things tho, your manifold seems kinda like a `custom log` manifold with those 90deg bends and no tuned length, might want to rethink it when you need more power... it will hurt your volumetric efficiency for sure...

the other thing is the turbo itself... do you have a compressor map for that thing you bought and have you plotted your engine on it? takes alot of the guess work out which you seem to be doing and you will get a much better idea of where your boost threshold will be and how its going to drive etc... but i guess its too late now, you need to do this before you buy your turbo... id do it asap, coz since you havent used it yet, you could return it its too far off the map...

Yes it will clear... I hope :D Thats why the turbo is angled up a little bit , I'v also allowed for clearence from the bonnet. I did a fair bit of measuring to make sure.

Yeah with the manifold I'll keep it for a while, and then when i decide to build up an engine made for boost (300 - 350 rwkw) I'll buy a propper tuned length one as i dont have the skills to make one of them, but this could be 3 yerars down the track :)
So at the moment the manifold will do for my current goals.

As for the turbo size I'm not that concerned, as i spent a long time discusing it with my supplier, and he said if it choked, or was to big we'll swap the turbine housing for a bigger or smaller one. But this turbo is pretty close to the GT53/40r....

im a little confused, if your going by the current garrett nomenclature then your saying you have a t53 size turbine housing? yours is called a t60, whats the turbine wheel inducer and exducer size? furthermore, your running a 1.0 A/R on this presumably very large housing? to me, it sounds like its gonna take ages to spool up dude :?:

i may have to totally wrong idea here, but i think you may find that if you only want 8.5psi and 220rwkw, that thing will be VERY laggy...

i dont see how you can aim for 220rwkw with the option of going for 350+ all with the same turbo esp if you want to drive it around for 3 years on low boost before you go all out, itll drive you nuts...

i think the turbo should be ok, but i wouldn't expect full boost before 3000. probably around 3200

good on you for doing it all yourself heres a tip if you want to do another manifold .steam tube is wicked and lasts an age or more longer than exhaust tube, have a friend with a 355 stroker vn commo i know horrible holden ,but the guy that did the manifold swears by the stuff its rated for higher temps which as we all know pyro temps are a must with turbo cars .this car is turboed as well and is as scary as all hell with a little bit of foot. i look forward to seeing how this all pans out for you . keep up the good work!!!!! :D
