update.

got a jmm race series head and dev 5 cam for cheap so i put that on with 2 au mls gaskets.

got it on my dads mates dyno and tuned it my self with some help, at 12psi and ended up with 385rwhp(287rwkw) and 2400lb in 2nd and 1600lb in 3rd(auto)

every time i drove it after that the auto was slowly dying until i only ended up with 1st gear.

last Saturday i decided to put in a t5 that i had laying around, that went in with a brand new extreme 4100lb pressure plate, extreme ceramic clutch and extreme ally flywheel.

and today a week after putting in the t5 i have smashed third gear.

i am now looking at saving for a tko600

altogether i would have spent around 10-12k.

don't bother with the chip just get a after market ecu.

i did all the work my self, with assistance from my dad.

yes it is possible but u will have to use all secondhand/cheap part's and in the long run it will end up being more expensive. just do it right the first time. u will need to spend at least 6k to have a decent reliable setup.

Nice work mate!

Nice car you have there, and for an 18 year old!

F**k, I'm your age and I don't know how you afford it.

Working full time?

I get 140rwkw in a barge, you get 287kw in an e series. Lucky!

its very easy to move the battery.

u could probaly get away with a chip at the power but it would want to read boost.

Nice one, Your hard work and saving seems to pay off :)

I'm just curious, is it still alright to drive with a smashed 3rd?

Like just use, 1, 2, 4, 5. Or is it not drivable at all?

I have no idea about this, that's why I'm asking :)
