Well done getting a turbo on your car but that cheap turbo will most likely give you dramas, but your up and running anyway... just expect to have to buy a real turbo at some stage.
Dont try to run those big injectors off the EEC, it wont even start.
Get yourself a good ecu, install it, put your injectors and pump in and get it on a dyno opperated by someone who knows the ecu well.

I ran mine on eec for ONE day without anyboost, and nobody has ever got 300wkws from an unmodified eec.

Have fun

I call shenanigans on this running with big injectors and stock EEC. Spend the cash a get a quality aftermarket ECU, there is no other way around it. Sorry

I can't believe you have been silly enough to boost the thing without even putting it on a dyno and checking the AF. You say it hasn't detonated?? How the hell did you blow the heag gasket man?? Ummmm, yeah, detonation. The factory computer DOES in fact read boost pressure, it reads up to 11psi, which is where fuel cut is, and all TIAL 44mm gates in australia that I know of have a 1 bar spring, go and look at the side of your box, bet the spring rating says 1 bar.

Even on 6psi with no reg or fuel pump, your AF ratio would be over 14/1. WHen you are hitting fuel cut at 11psi, your probably more like higher than 14.5/1. Regardless of if you put fuel pump and reg on it, it will still boost to 14psi and hit fuel cut. Without going off about it, I'll say nicely that your quite silly if you continue to keep driving it with no ecu or fuel mods.

I'm aware your dad has built many many tough cars, and you've probably learned a lot from him, but this isn't some carby V8 big block. You can't just bang the turbo on it and hope for the best. I will also say that if you go and put a better head gasket in it, it then won't be the weak link, the next time it runs lean will probably melt a hole clean through all 6 pistons.

After you've done about 3 more head gaskets and 1 or 2 bottom ends, take the time to put a computer, injectors and fuel pump in teh thing, tune it, and enjoy 500hp reliably, rather than being silly with the thing.

OR atleast pull the spout out and lock timeing at 20*..But it still doesn't help in fuel ratio....
42's and cheap ecu the 6's don't require a high $$$ ecu to make reliable power....
