nice looking setup!

have you had any troubles with the ebay turbo? i was looking at them too and thought too cheap to be for real - I did read something once that they were crap mass produced in china and fell apart in a few hours but it seems like this one on your car is going ok?!

yeh its been good so far. done about 3000ks on it now and its all good. it doesnt spool till about 3000 wich is weird for a .84 a/r t3. there will be nothing until 3000 but when it hits 3000 it full boost instantly, it comes on extremly hard wich is fun!!

the trans is starting to slipp despite the shift kit ever since i took it to the drags. i think it might of fried the fluid from stalling it up so hard! so ill just do a full flush and add new fluid!

While you're at it get an adjustable S5 solenoid thrown in the 'box. I got one in mine when i had it rebuilt. Its a hundred or so bucks but it does cut the time between shifts (too much slip would be killer at full boost).

Got that ECU sorted yet?

There is a different version of the electronic shift kit. That will stop the slipping altogether.

I used the s5 shiftkit that is the popular one sold on ebay and everywhere else and it still slipped in the EB.

I used a different one afterwards and the car would chirp third. Its just a switch and resistor. It bypasses the S5 solonoid completely and makes the ar run the max line pressure possible.

Its way too harsh to drive with all the time but it works. I didnt even run a trans cooler in the EB with 200rwkw for over 10,000kms and it only heated up after 8 runs in 2 minutes.

Ill try and find the diagram for you.

it shift kit thats in it is a resistor and switch, and it use to chirp in 1>2 and 2>3 but it doesnt now, and it also never even thorght about slipping. mabe i can put a stronger resistor in it.

I wouldnt bother with the shift kit! Rip the auto out and go manual!!!! Either that or chuck in a couple of coolers. I know Chef is running 2 auto coolers ATM. And good to see some W.A Down Southers!!

$1700 for insurance on a car that's worth $2500... you are nuts. Just get 3rd party fire and theft.

Everyone on this site instantly says 'T5!!' or 'MANUAL CONVERSION' whenever anyone has problems with the BTR.
Perhaps fritzz is brave enough to finally buck the manual trend and put some development into it.

As much as I like the auto, I find the T5 heaps better. You can put more power to the ground alot quicker. IMO Of course. Every one has there personal preferances. I was once driving an auto!
