Just put the turbo on and get on with it... if it doesnt work as you expect buy a new turbo

thats a hitachi IHI RX-7 series 5 turbo , u will have to modify the waste gate ?? even on the series 5

Like someone said in this thread just bolt it up and see what ur best result u get out of the hitachi IHI turbo

But otherwise if ur after serious horse power dont waste ur money just have fun with the hitachi IHI turbo and get a GT35/4 which is good for 600Bhp

the Little IHI mazda series5 turbo is good for approx 350Bhp

some specs-

the series 4 turbo has a .88 A/R exhaust
the series 5 turbo has a 1.00 A/R exhaust,

Series 4 turbo actually has a 0.84 A/R exhaust housing.....but who cares. Hi-flow versions are $850 exchange at Dyson Rotary. The only reason they are popular is that anyone running a standard series 5 turbo has an easy upgrade path without having to change exhaust manifolds.

If it was up to me I'd go straight for a TO4 if you have any thoughts of upgrading. These turbos have unique bolt patterns that nothing else has. If you need to change later on it will be a headache. If you only want a bit of fun with early boost without reving the ring out of it, it will be fine for you.

The hiflow will make the turbine and compressor better suited to the inline 6, but I personally don't think its necessary for what you're trying to achieve.
