Turbo wise, get something REALLY big if your chasing 400wkws on medium boost...T78, T88, GT42, GT45.
There's a few smart guys starting to use big turbos and getting very good results, and with nothing to facny inside the motors. Go for 700cc or bigger injectors. 550cc will max around 300wkws depending ecu configuration and fuel pressure. I wouldnt be to anal about the motor, look at its weak points, pistons and rods and flow through the head. Address these few areas and you'll be fine as long as your not over reving it. Look into a custom inlet manifold, 4in exhaust, 600x300x100mm I/C and 400wkws will be looking good. Next on your shopping list will be the trasmission... it will all break. |

what sort of rpm should it be limited at? 6k? or less?
would it be wrong to go overkill and go 1000cc injectors? how many pumps would be needed? is a 044 enough?

would it be wrong to go overkill and go 1000cc injectors? how many pumps would be needed? is a 044 enough? the rpm limit depends on what and how well preped the rotating assembly is. if you use stock rods keep to the facotry limit. there are people spinning the atomic skinny rods and forged pistons to 7500rpm and making around 600kw the atomic 'FAT' rod is stronger again. but i would be getting concerned about the crank after 7000rpm |

An 044 pump should be enough, a V8 supercar uses one to feed ~670fwhp.
550cc injectors would be near their limit but OK, which I reckon is around the 400rwkw mark. You are more so limited by ecu selection, some don't run large injectors well at idle. |

I havnt seen any motors running near 400wkws on 6 550cc injectors...
Is anyone getting this power from them? i would have thought 300... my 550s are at 75% duty cycle, 80psi fuel pressure and alot less than 400wkws |

400rwkw you looking something like 700fwHP .
for that you need an injector able to suply about 120 HP worth of fuel. a 788cc injector @43psi feul pressure and %95 duty cycle will suply about 125HP at .57BSFC |

63psi would see the same injector be capable of about 150hp each @ %95 duty cycle @ .57BSFC that pressure would give you the 120hp each @ %85 duty cycle |

I haven't seen any 6's with 550cc injectors. I work on roughly with a 6 cylinder of 19=19rwhp, 24lb=240rwhp, 36lb=360rwhp, and so on. Normally these have been on the limit in my past experience but some people have claimed even more power. All the examples were running at least 55psi base pressure.

http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tableifc.htm#ITABLE check that link for Peak Horse Power per Injector table. it lists for a number of different BSFC (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) because turbo engine are usualy tunned richer then N/A the BSFC is big player here. and also lists for %80 duty and %95 duty. |

after passin on this info to my old man we have a few more questions..
what angles are the valves cut at? apparently there are different combos.. 3 or 5? what size throttle body? what are the differences between ea/eb/ef heads? those of you who have a worked head... what cfm did it flow?

the valve seat angles depend on who does the port work.
the stock 65mm tb will see a fair whack of power. but if you making a new intake manifold go with something bigger 70mm to 75mm there are port and chamber shape differences between the heads. best of going with that latest one you can find, then have it ported and cc'd |
