Quick update on how things are travelling for those who are interested.

The clutch has been fitted and the ECU is nearly ready to go. Nick needs to wire up the crank angle trigger and fit a 3 bar map sensor and it should be okay to start tuning. He found that the standard NA map sensor wasnt much good at reading boost so we decided to use a GM 3 bar map sensor so I didnt have to change it again later on.

He is also going to fit my innovate wideband setup and hook it up to the ECU so I can do datalogging and adaptive tuning while I drive.

He tested the innovate setup on the dyno with another car there and it read .2 higher than his dyno's 02 sensor so it is fairly accurate. Its a pretty nifty little gadget.

The EB that I bought has been stripped of its koni's, pedders suspension, interior plastics and roof lining and all of that will be fitted to the EA along with ED ghia door trims and front seats once I get it back.

The koni's and pedders setup had way less bodyroll and a smoother ride than the EA with its bilsteins and king springs. I think the bilsteins are in need of a rebuild.

also the king springs are a softer spring. it sounds like way too much work for me to fit a BA motor to my car... lol ill stick with the EL motor.

Yeah they are pretty cheap now. It will be interesting to see how the NA motors go as disposable turbo motors.

Once I get sick of topping up the coolant in my maverick I want to put one in there with an XTC EMS on straight LPG. I would be able to seal off the rocker cover plastic so the coils didnt get wet with river/mud crossings.

Every time the dizzy in it now gets wet it it runs like crap and goes even slower than usual which gets painful.

I might put the setup from the EA in it and get nick to be build me a nice new motor.

Not running yet.

Shouldn't be too far off now I hope. Hopefully I have it in time for the dyno day next week.
