hey dan, theres a guy from NZ (snailracing is his username) thats made plates that bolt up 20mm higher on the engine mounts, so the engine sits 20mm lower. i can ask him for pics if you want..

his thread about the BA into XF is on FFA lol so you wont be able to see it...
he's pretty much where you are in terms of waiting for an ecu/tune

They would be pretty easy to fabricate I would think.

Im not sure it could be done in the EA though due to K frame clearance. The sump sits pretty close to the K frame as it is. Im not sure it would go down another 20mm.

Ill look into it if the engine hits my bonnet.

Nick said the old engine was out, the front crossmember was rewelded to fix my hack job and the new engine was on its way in on Friday.

He said he cant promise but it might be ready by this friday.

Hopefully I can get it ready and turbo in time for the drag day on the 10th of November.

Good luck with it!
Hopefully this motor runs better than the last couple of duds.. :(
I wonder if I'll have the new motor up and running in the Corty before the drag Day?

RACE?

haha just because that is all that is left doesnt mean nothing else will go wrong. If something else can go wrong I reckon it will. My car is jinxed. Its been off the road nearly a year now :(

And yes oil + tune does = skids!!

I want the turbo on and the car retuned before the 10th of November so bigger skids will come then.

haha. Thats true.

Its my own fault though. I couldnt make up mind and that made it drag on way longer than it should have.

I bought a turbosmart race port blow off valve yesterday. Hopefully its not too loud.

Nah its not a verneir gear.

He mods the parts so that they are able to be switched from one position to another when told to do so by the ECU.

You will have to ask him for specifics.
