hey what is involved in installing like a 100hp dry shot nos kit to an EA 6 cylinder and roughly how much would the kit cost?

A grand will get you the basic kit including bottle. Takes about 6 hours to install, real easy, the genuise NOS kit has all the instructions on how to wire it up. Just be warned, start with the smallest jet in the kit, halve your spark plug gap, make sure your leads and plugs and entire ignition system is in tip top shape, and have fun. Any specific questions feel free to PM me
Brett

Which kits? There is a powershot one on there which seems pretty good.

Im not sure if the NOS kits are any cheaper on ebay.

Im keen on putting a kit on my mini project soon.

you might want to open up your exhuast too, mine started to have problems (5.0 litre v8 tho) over 170RWKW with a 2.5 exhuast coz it could get the air out fast enough, and then it died down not long after, but im getting a dual 3 inch exhuast now which will fix the problem, and i might put my kit down to a 100 shot coz it was getting to much gas and the engine didn't cope with a 150 shot.

i would also get a fuel pressure reg and unichip or something if you are going a dry shot too, you don't want to make your engine go boom.

Its always been something I have wanted to try. I just wouldnt do it to my falcon. 261rwkw on low boost is enough, I should be pushing 350 with the next tune in a few weeks so it doesnt need it. It would definately help the mini get into the low 13's though with the new engine that is going in.

Tuning? How would I get a reading off the dyno amongst all the wheelspin??

Hmm maybe I should get a T88 so the nitrous will at least be useful to spool it.

Colder plug as when making large amounts of heat with a power adder (supercharger, turbo, nos) the combustion temps are up... therefore need a colder plug or risk detonation...

Need smaller gap for blowers to prevent spark blowout, i assume this is the same for nos. Can be overcome somewhat with upgraded ignition...

Might make idle a bit rougher, colder plugs will be quicker to foul... it's a compromise... unless you wanna change plugs everytime u plan on using power adder... ?

changing plugs everytime i use it is an option!i have chip torque chip tuned to my cam is this all id need in that department or will it have to be remapped to nos?i dont wanna remap it coz nos will only be used at off street drags like once every 3 months!how much has it cost people all up to install?how much is it to fill a dry bottle?and where should i get the kit?

Around $100 they vary to fill...
A good fuel pump helps to maintain good fuel enrichment..As the pressue of N20 is used / connected to fuel regulator which increases fuel pressure on injectors enriching mixture.Thats why it helps to have similar to Walbro 255 intank pump...Also in this case a 2 to1 rising rate fuel reg can be used as it will only comes in when N20 is activated...
If you drive like a young guy one # colder plug won't hurt...
XR6 plugs though colder tend to detonate..The cold short electrode seems to work better.. You could go one step further and fit CDi ignition with MSD and use a spark retard system when N20 is activated....It will save your engine big time...Also negates plug fouling...
