no it will be alot easyer for the stock intank pump now seein as all it has to do is supply another pump with no resistance. the stock pump flows a lot more wen not under load.

"Are the posts angeled or something, so turning them changes the pulleys horizontalness?"
yer the pullys are angled it explains it in the instruction that should have come with the kit. Cheers |

I am in the throws of fitting a Powerdyne 9psi kit to My EF XR6 but without instructions and diagrams. (It's second hand) c
an anyone tell me where you mount the inline fuel pump and where to power it off, and the FMU / regulator, where under the car /manifold how to disable the stock one too plus vac/boost take off points for the pressure switch on the water injection and were to plumb the EGR valve to? Cheers

Cheers If it's an XR6 then you dont have an EGR system. Can you elaborate on that part? OK, mounting the FMU is easy. You dont disable the stock regulator. In fact, dont touch it!! Phyiscally, it's mounted to the firewall or shock tower. Easy. Self tapper screws. To plumb it, it goes in between the standard fuel reg and the return line to the fuel tank. The fuel system goes like this: Fuel tank - fuel hose - fuel rail - fuel pressure regulator - fuel hose - tank. So... basically go get some fuel hose, remove the standard fuel hose from the fuel rail/reg, run it to the FMU, then run the hose from the FMU to the return line to the tank. The fitting that comes out of the bottom of the FMU is the return line to the fuel tank. The fitting that sorta comes out the side of it (the one that's bent 90 degrees) is where you attach the fuel hose that is coming from the fuel rail. Find a vacuum source (put a t-piece in) and attach that to the vac fitting on the top of the FMU. The FMU does not require a power source. Easy The pressure switch for the water injection kit.... Cut the vac hose that goes from the engine to the brake booster. You now have two hoses... one attached to the manifold, one attached to the brake booster. Fit the pressure switch between these two. Can see pics of the pressure switch in my user gallery.

Oh, and those inline fuel pumps go anywhere, so long as its in the fuel delivery line to the engine. i.e. can fit to the rear or the front of the car.
Just use the existing fuel pump relay for power.

Thanks 4.9 EF Futura
That helps heaps Trouble with the six is the room on the firewall for the FMU, got a snail and all sorts of other crap there. but anything is possible if the hose is long enough. My existing reg is connected to the fuel rail by a couple of bolts. and is only a couple of mm away from the firewall with crimp on fittings see my gallery to what I mean I guess I got to pull the lot out and tidy it all up. I had concerns about fuel pressure and using just hoseclamps instead of these crimp on fittings. The pressure sender I did also try the same location you had it but the car was detonating so I thought it wasn't working. I have lowered the pressure in it and tried with other vaccum take of points and will see if it squirts now. The EGR stuff is just the two breathers in the rocker cover how they were plumbed originally back into either side of the throttle body, I want to tidy that up too. cause they just aint tidy atm after I disconnected them due to boost feeding into the sump (oil everywhere)
