I just think the turbo may be too big, its from a 12L Cummins.
With the current ride hieght of the car (dropped) its sits 150mm from the ground. The Hybrid intercooler was given to me for job i did for a friend! |

Yeah thanx, i was planning to pull the sump off and drill it and then weld a boss to thread into. Im just wondering if that will be strong though. Have you tried it. I dont think 1/4" will be big enough for me so i'll just have to make it bigger.

Could someone tell what fuel pressure i shopuld be running when the turbo is working. I know that 39psi is stock.
I am putting an adjustable fuel regulator on it and an extra inline fuel pump. Will these two mods be enough to run 6-8psi boost with standard injectors and ecu. If not, what would be suffice for the 6-8psi boost. |

If not, what would be suffice for the 6-8psi boost. Despite the bad press these items receive, i think you should be looking at a >1 rising rate regulator to run boost thru the stock 19# injectors. For example, i use a 12:1 reg... at 6psi boost this is running more than double the standard fuel press and effectively increases inj flow from 19# to around 30#... also running a chip tuned to suit this reg... its rough on the injectors and pump tho... very rough.

Do they run off how much boost the turbo is producing os sumthing else to make the fuel pressure rise. What are they worth and where can i get a cheap one. |

A factory regulator behaves in a similar way... (for every 1psi increase in manifold pressure, there is a 1psi increase in fuel pressure). In the above example (the one I use) for every 1psi increase in manifold pressure, there is a 12psi increase in fuel pressure. A cheap alternative to large injectors and aftermarket ECU... but even then, i dont know how you'd go with facotry ECU... Personally i wouldnt buy a cheap one... the consequences of such a unit failing can be fairly nasty. I use a vortech reg, from CAPA as it came in the supercharger kit. Yeah dat sounds good.
So what you are saying is dat if i pushed 10psi into the manifold-fuel pressure increases to 120psi. Is that how much fuel is needed. What ecu are you using since you are running 6psi as that is all i am planning to boost at or do you push more. Would an extra inline fuel pump be enough to pump the fuel. |
