no this equalises pressure on each side of the s/c at idle

The air bypass valve works better on a s/c.

well i broke the black bit removing the engine, looked like it didnt work that well but if it does ill find a replacement

Vortech make a non plastic version, not cheap either.

Dont know whether there is an alternate design either.

Well you can get a replacement one from CAPA http://www.capa.com.au/prices_eaton.htm#eaton_gen4

It's $149 but I think it would cost more to try and convert it to electric.. :wink:

All you need to get is the vacuum actuator if its the plastic you're referring too. the air by-pass is all metal. I cather thats the reason why it wasn't working. could be vacuum leak, is that right?

Buy a vacuum actuator from a i6 broadband manifold & adapt that to it. :P
