What have you done to Michael's box to get it to cope with the power?

Umm? Auto's I leave for experts..But its the best bands etc you can get or know of and AU adjustable line pressure solonoid...

There is an electrical prob with my car..Infact I have just been intouch with Haltech and they say I need differant ecu for the hi flow injectors ..F*ck me!!! So E11 sequential is soon to be fitted...
Running batch is s**t on fuel rail hammering and too much load in ecu fireing injectors...The E11 was the ecu I thought was fitted...But NO its not ...It's E6K.....
With custom fuel rails, two 044 pumps......

Did you factor in the runners volume too? they are part of the plenums total volume as it is measured from the TBs butterfly to the inlet valves.

I'd say it will aid power at high boost. Friend of mine made a 6lt plen for his VL and it gave no extra power on 9psi, but on 20 he got 40 odd kws. Also it didnt effect on road lag at all which was good.

Hope we see some good results here

that should have a beasty TQ curve, if you can put down all that low end TQ then its prob a good design, if the TQ is hurting launch cutting the runners down will make it hit softer but prob peak higher up top.

Seen a few sixes(10 second cars)using large plenums but much shorter runners, ie 2-3 inches.

Pity to hear about your elec prob.

Ahh its either replace injectors which is backward step or go more capable ecu which I should have got in the first place...Be ideal on 4 or 6 though..Just that I'm stretching the limit as per usual...
Oh well it won't hurt having a spare ecu for four cylinder..
Yes the next inlet we might try the latter E.F but we sort of want to keep it E.B for the time being...

looks good kiwi, how much??? lol

tried to seed you pics but bounced back.
all vac lines are on the back of the tube and are below wiper cover line.
this bonnet is getting smaller by the day.
by the time i get the glass one made it will be cheaper.lol

i dont care if it makes more or less power/tq, its for my car and i made it.
imo it will make big difference.

volume is secret, will say its between 8 and 18lts.
as for taking longer to build boost??? as new turbo manifold made more power down low i would say bigger plenun will complement that moreso.

Looks good although looks really big in the pic's. Mine is 1.5 x engine capacity but doesn't look that big.

Anyway the calculation is right so should work well. May want to go 2 x engine capacity for maximum HP and good for Drags, at the expense of spool time but that shouldn't be a problem in this application. More an issue if its going to be used for street work...

hey, looks absoloutly massive, how did you weld it up (between the factory cast part and your addon) was it TIG? or was it MIG (looks like it from the welds).

tig welded @ 150amps to get good penatration through 5mm walls.
filler rod just melts so fast at that heat.
