Hey guys, I just bought a ba xr6t ute and it had a capa flash tuner with a 10psi tune set up and it pulls hard to 4000-4500 rpm then sounds like stones being thrown around, I've retuned it back to factory tune and everything's fine. I would like to run the 10psi tune so what can I do to run it? What mods or upgrades etc

Thanks in advance

straight up im asking what fiuel you/previous owner put in it? it is probably tuned to run 98 octane fuel so run the tank low and refill with 98 from the caltex and try the tune again.
if its already running 98 id be checking things like spark plugs/coils. general service

He didn't even know how to work the flash tuner and he thought it was running the standard 6psi boost, it's just recently had a service right before I bought it, there's no error codes, is a standard xr6t setup able to handle 10psi without mods? I'll fill it up on 98 tomorrow and try it again

the basic mods that are recommended for the xr6t before a tune are exhaust, intercooler, injectors, valve springs, wastegate,98 fuel and fuel pump. probably more but i forget, thats the most of it.

So tonight I filled up with premium 98 and drove on the factory tune for a while then decided to have a go with the flash tuner, so I didn't know you change settings inside the tune, this makes me think that the previous owner (seeing he didn't know what to do) must of adjusted the settings and stuffed it, I've since had little adjustments and it runs fine, no pinging or breaking down, detonating etc

Thanks for your quick response
