as i said it was just a thought, you are correct in the potential for more power with less spend is right in the xr6t's, i was just thinking of the initial 6500 spend you have to do first, by all means go ahead and do it if its the way you want to go, they are a great engine and plenty of potential.
there are guys getting 250rwkw on the std injectors with exhaust and intercooler and tune, you would be surprised by how fast that would make an EL, definetly a giant killer, lol. best of luck with your project, hope it happens for you, and keep us informed. cheers, Rob

This time was run using an EL GLi 3.08:1 diff with a Mini-Spool. Also, this was run at Heathcoate Raceway. The axles used were, AFAIK, factory EL GLi axles. Facts good enough to prove you wrong? that diff would have some tricks in it, Rajab haven't played with borgys in VLs for f**k years not to learn a trick or too. No doubt about that Jared, but the point was, 104ord was adamant that the Borgy is a spagetti diff.

Not sure about an E series M78 being stronger than a B series M86 though.
The B series M78 can't be too bad because i'm at around 270rwkw and it's still going.I have to fix the slipper once a year or so though.

M78 is Dana, BW78 in E-Series. 4 Pinion = stronger than B-Series 2 Pinion. Also, IRS is different to Live axle in strength.

Although M78 gears are the ssame as BW78 IIRC. I'll be testing if a 4 Pinion BW78 centre fits an M78 housing in the next few weeks!

They're the same centres no matter what they are called,so an early Dana 78 type is still not as strong as the M86 type no way.

The m86 gears are bigger, i think they're 8 3/4inch in the old money.
