i know the xr6t injectors are different to the sohc injecters flow wise.
but std au sohc injectors have the quad spray pattern injectors and flow more than std e series and they do not flood the engine when used in early e series ...

They can be used in anything and were long before DOHC Aus engines came along.

The Lancer I quoted is SOHC, the Holden is OHV 2 valve only and I am very certain I would not struggle in the slightest to find other examples using quad hole and dating back some years.

The NA and T injectors are the same part number for both in BA series, Injector Part number # 0 280 156 123

And I can confirm they work an absolute treat in the Intech engine :D

yeh they flow too much (its like a drilled out E series injector in comparison to a standard E series, for flow), therefore flooding motor
if you dont have an aftermarket ems (to control the injector trim %) then it will flood

a way to possibly avoid this (without aftermarket ems) is to fit the a lower kpa fuel reg.

With these quad hole injectors a tuning solution must always be used as part of a total package. Can't install injectors of another type/part number and just expect it to work

Beats me, I realise that the quad-type injectors might be OK for VCT ...but what about SOHC E-series?

My XR has the 300 KPa fuel pressure regulator as far as I know ...so will this work OK with the XR6T injectors and the Eliminator Chip retuned?

I'm calling Brendan Mock again on TUES to find out EXACTLY what I've got.

Back to the topic at hand,i have just fitted a Raptor to my BA ute.
The stock diff and auto are probably holding her back a little, but hey it's a little like traction control.
The car is stronger everywhere, even from idle but when the revs build she hauls a**.
Quality is very very good,am a happy little monkey.
Computer disc drive is on the frits so pictures and stuff will be up later.

Haha ...congrats, you bugger.

What do you mean by diff & auto 'holding' you back?

Pics / vids / driving descriptions? ...you know you want to.

You reckon it'll go OK with my 3.45 LSD and 5-spd manual?

On a manual yeah it would be better.

On my set up, up till 35-40kmph is off boost then from there its on, in the next gear its similar.

A set of 3.7-3.9's would be better for an auto otherwise its an eternity to get in the boost range.

Manuals dont have much of a problem.
