APS is my vote... not cheap compared to what you can do yourself...

check the xr6t sections at fordforums

start with the following my recomdations!
- k&n filter or bmc with second cold air intake like the typhoon
-edit
-injectors
-valvesprings (if needed...you will see on the dyno)
- remove centre muffler
- smb 4 inch cat
-bigger fuel pump
the following should see u at nearly 300 rwkw....
then remove the crappy intake pipes etc
- nizpro plenum
- bigger fmc

and say hello to 350rwkw! but mind you at 350rwkw you are pushin the internals a bit.... but stronger rods and welcome 400rwkw!
no need to do cams..headwork etc!

thanks slycruza, good ideas, but this things is still new and daily driven, not sure how extreme i wanna go straight off the bat, 300 at weelz is what i'm looking for i guess, also reponse is a higher priority than outright topend

yeah, i know it's still alot of power, i'm kinda used to it, i built a 483hp (at weels) Sr. VI RX7 a couple of yeas agop with my old man, thats nutty, the thing only weighed 1200 kg! too much power for my daily driven XR!

You might want to check out some alternatives to APS. Their quality is top notch for sure, and while the phase1 (unichip + tune) is great BFB, if your looking at entering the 300kw range, you might look into the EDIT, Injectors, CAI, and perhaps an exhaust upgrade and larger IC, and you'll be very happy indeed ;)

but dont forget, you will need to also start looking at strengthening the tranmission. Some T drivers report unplesentries within a few days of 300kw+, but some have yet to have problems over the 20k km's. .. i guess it depends on the way you drive as well.

But first look would be at getting the EDIT, buddy.

Agreed on the edit.
I'm pretty sure you can buy seperate parts from APS.
Might be worthwhile to buy their parts (their exhaust is uber-nice!), then have it tuned with an edit.
Might cost a bit more, but you'll have alot more flexibility in your tune, even down to being to have a tune with a little less boost for daily driving and a high-boost track tune.
